**Warning!!! You will piss your pants laughing while watching these videos!!!**
I have a YouTube addiction. I have spent many hours surfing aimlessly around cracktube and I’ve watched many, many makeup videos, watching tutorials, reviews and the like. I have been introduced to many new makeup brands through this site. It’s through cracktube that I have become familiar with Nixie Cosmetics, La Femme Cosmetics, Amp Cosmetics and the infamous 120 eyeshadow palette from ebay the original Coastal Scents palette.
So here are some of my favorite cracktube videos. There are some amazing beauty junkies on the site. I love it.
This video was my first introduction to Nixie. I am now planning on signing up for their pro artist program and I am definitely looking forward to it.
Here is the second part to this video:
I have actually subscribed to this user, twixtbetwixt and she is wonderful. I highly suggest you check out other of her videos. She does an amazing video in where she matches up Nixie eyeshadows to MAC eyeshadows, and you can’t tell the difference in quality.
Here is another review of Nixie, just incase you haven’t gotten enough of it yet.
The next installment of The Beauty of CrackTube is La Femme Cosmetics.
What’s the worst way to spend Halloween? I fell sick on Thursday night and I am still fighting this damned thing. It was really strange to, I was perfectly fine on Thursday afternoon, and Thursday evening to night I started to become sick, and I’ve just gone down hill since then.
As of right now, I can’t speak, can’t taste, can’t smell and I can barely breathe. So this is a quick note on how I am doing right now, and why postings have been extremely sparse. I’m not ignoring you guys, I’m just sick. But I shall leave you guys with this video by TheFashionMaven, who does some amazing stuff on youtube.
Youtube is a beautiful site, you can find practically ANYTHING on there, and I can get lost surfing through that site. Infact, I’ve put off writing posts on this blog to watch this “must see” video. Right now my obsession with youtube centers quite a bit around TheFashionMaven, who has posted many MANY videos on different NYX products. She is a repersentive and it seems that she owns ever product that NYX has released.
I typically do not like watching makeup and swatch videos on youtube just because it’s very hard to see the product’s true color or it’s a very blurry swatch. So these two problems bother me to no end, but with TheFashionMaven, you don’t have that problem. All of her videos seem like they are done in natural light and the camera that she uses pick the colors of each product very well, better than many, many, many other youtubers out there. I am even including the makeup God of Youtube, Enkore in this group. Some of his swatches are either too dark or the lighting is not right, Hers have been as spot on as you can get in a video.
I hope you enjoy her videos as much as I do She has helped even me out when it comes to deciding what to get.
Okay, so the moment all Twihards have been waiting for is upon us. The third and final Twilight has been released! The trailer is longer than both of the previous trailers, clocking in at 2:23. Which beats the other two by over a minute of beautiful, beautiful footage.
So here is the new trailer:
While surfing around on youtube I also came across the funniest Twilight spoof, I’ve ever seen. It parodies the second trailer perfectly! I have watched this thing countless times over the past few days, and it still manages to make want to piss myself laughing. I don’t though…. LOL
Here is the original 2nd Twilight Trailer to refresh your memory:
And here is the awesomest spoof ever!
I clean my brushes in two different ways. The first way I clean my brushes is with my MAC brush cleaner, and the other way is with a mixture of different cleaners.
For the light cleanings, which I do during and after my makeup, I use my MAC brush cleaner (which is LOVE!!!). I actually use an old spray bottle that used to hold my Essence of Beauty brush cleaner, and I fill it with a mixture of brush cleaner and water. The spray bottle holds 2.7 fl oz, and I fill it with MAC cleaner about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way full. I then add water to it, filling the rest of the bottle up, which turns the dark pink color of the cleaner into a light pink color.
This cleaner mixture makes the PERFECT quick brush washing. When I am using a certain brush for eyeshadow I can clean a brush with this cleaner and continue using it a few minutes later. The cleaner takes only a few minutes to dry, so the brush is ready to go. When I go to clean the brushes I spray a wash rag or a paper towel a few times and then I wipe the brush across the solution several times. The brush comes out looking practically white. This works to keep my brushes going through my makeup play.
The second way I clean my brushes is with a deep cleaning and conditioning treatment. I actually found this way from one of my favorite beauty blogs, IlurveMakeup. She has one of the most innovative ways of deep cleaning brushes. Ever since I saw this video, my brushes look as close to brand new as they are going to get.
The solution that is used in the video includes, baby shampoo, antibacterial dish soap, and regular shampoo and conditioner. This is an amazing mixture and it works AMAZINGLY well. I highly recommend that EVERYONE washes their brushes in this way.
